Steelwork Rising at Botany Bay: Major Milestone Reached

It’s exciting to see rapid progress on this major industrial development for our client, FI Real Estate Management Ltd, where Shape Consulting Engineers are providing full civil and structural design services across both the buildings and surrounding infrastructure.

Working closely with project architect MCAU, the scheme comprises a series of large-scale industrial units designed to provide flexible, high-specification manufacturing space. The first steel frame is now fully erected, marking a key milestone and paving the way for the slab pour and cladding installation to begin.

This transformative development forms part of the wider regeneration of Botany Bay in Chorley, securing significant employment opportunities and supporting local economic growth. Shape’s involvement from early-stage concept through to technical delivery ensures robust, cost-efficient design solutions that are both future-ready and sustainable.

The project is being expertly led by our talented team, including Trefor Marshall, Bradley Linaker, Nick McGorry, and Louie Regan, whose collaborative approach continues to drive the project forward at pace.

We look forward to seeing the next phases take #Shape on site in the coming weeks.
